Early Years
Introduction
Young children are fascinated by mark-making, and printmaking, with its immediacy and emphasis on colour, pattern and the ability to repeat imagery is particularly appealing.
Northern Print offers a range of ways for little people and their parents, carers and teachers to engage with simple printmaking processes – at our building with our Inky Print sessions, and through our outreach work at nurseries and other early years settings.

What we offer
• Inky Print Club takes place in our gallery space at Northern Print and offers drop-in sessions for children of all ages and their parents/carers. Activities are led by an Artist Printmaker (all tutors hold DBS) and costs (£3 per little person) include good quality materials, friendly tuition, and apron and a drink of juice.
• Workshops for nurseries and other early years settings can be delivered at Northern Print or in your own building, with all equipment and materials brought to you.
• CPD for professionals working in early years settings is available at Northern Print or in your own space. Workshops will pass on practical skills and all other information to enable you to deliver simple printmaking activities with the little people you work with.
