What you will learn

Wood engraving was made famous by the North East’s very own Thomas Bewick and the process continues today. This two day course has been developed by wood engraver Chris Daunt for anyone who has done wood engraving before and has some experience of the process. It will recap on all the elements of a beginners course and give you the help and time to start refining your technique, grow in confidence and create a new print with expect guidance.

You will need to come with an image prepared, ready to go on the block. Chris will take you through any final planning of the image, go through how to transfer the image to the block, cutting and printing.

The block size will be 10cm x 7.5cm

"The course was extremely well organised and it was great having all materials provided. I learnt a lot."
