Cyanotype Printing
Cyanotype Printing
Date: 3 May, 10am – 4pm
Duration: 6 Hours
Tutor: Andrew Wright
Experience: No experience required
Renowned as the method for creating blueprint designs, cyanotype is an early photographic printing process distinctive for its rich blue colour. This course is suitable for beginners or those wanting to develop their skills. Throughout this practical and creative day you will be introduced to a variety of approaches for making cyanotype prints.
This will include the use of black and white digital images, stencils and found objects. You will be shown how to mix up the cyanotype solution from the raw chemicals and prepare and coat your paper. The coated paper will then be exposed to UV light to create the characteristically beautiful blue prints associated with the process.
