The Tyne Winter Evening
The Tyne Winter Evening
Donald Wilkinson often explores the way that seasons and weather impact upon the natural environment. He prefers to work in autumn or winter when he finds the light more intriguing with shifts in the conditions lighting up or obscuring a particular view. He attempts to capture something of the experience of being in a place, returning to it repeatedly and trying to gain an understanding of the essence of a particular place.
