Join Mike Taylor to discover more about the collaborative process behind Paupers Press and gain a unique insight into the creative relationship between artist and printmaker.

Founded in London in 1986, Paupers Press has spent four decades at the heart of contemporary printmaking, collaborating with some of the most influential artists of the last 40 years. From Paula Rego, Craigie Aitchison and Tracey Emin to Damien Hirst, Grayson Perry, Rachel Whiteread and Chris Ofili, the studio has played a distinctive role in translating artists’ ideas into print.

With expertise spanning etching, lithography, silkscreen and relief printing, Paupers Press has helped artists explore how traditional printmaking techniques can open up new possibilities within their practice. Alongside producing prints for leading artists, dealers and galleries, the studio has also supported emerging artists, publishing and promoting their work.

Mike Taylor, founder and director of Paupers Press, will share insights from four decades of working alongside artists, galleries and publishers, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look at the creative, technical and collaborative processes involved in bringing contemporary prints to life.
