  • About this print

Exhibited as part of Flourish, Printmaking in Excellence; a touring exhibition of contemporary printmaking, presented by West Yorkshire Print Workshop (WYPW).

This touring exhibition brings together diverse voices and approaches, offering audiences a unique opportunity to experience contemporary printmaking from across the UK.

  • Sue Wyllie

Sue Wyllie is based in Mid Devon in the Exe Valley. She completed her studies in Fine Art at Northumbria University in 1982 and, after a career as an Art lecturer, returned to education in 2018 to study MA Multi-disciplinary Printmaking at UWE completing in 2021. She is a student member of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers and has been included in many national exhibitions including ‘Other Worlds’, Burton Gallery, Bideford and the London Original Print Fair 2025, Somerset House, London. For the last four years she has had work exhibited at the Woolwich Print Fair.

The set of prints entered for this show represent a new venture into highly detailed wood relief. The process is slow and reflective, often taking many months to reach a conclusion.

Wyllie describes herself as a pseudo-botanical artist who carefully describes what she dreams and imagines in the shadows of night.
