Exhibited as part of Flourish, Printmaking in Excellence; a touring exhibition of contemporary printmaking, presented by West Yorkshire Print Workshop (WYPW).

This touring exhibition brings together diverse voices and approaches, offering audiences a unique opportunity to experience contemporary printmaking from across the UK.

Drawing is at the core of my artistic practice, serving as a tool to develop ideas and shape my prints. Through monoprint, etching and aquatint, I delve into themes of growth, life’s emergence, hybridisation, and the subsequent fractures and mutations of form. The act of drawing by removing ink fosters an organic, responsive process, where lines evolve, gaining both volume and energy. My interest lies in the exploration of three-dimensional forms, creating a sense of movement and continual transformation.

My work investigates the intricate mechanisms of nature. Details such as a germinating seed pod or the entanglement of growth inspire the transformation of these natural mechanics into print through drawing. I strive to create a sense of animation in my work—an unfolding moment that suggests reverberation or interaction with the physical realm. This invites the viewer to engage deeply, immersing themselves within the print and the dynamic space it inhabits.
