Woodcut is a traditional printmaking process that continues to captivate contemporary artists and designers.
This course will introduce you to the process using specialist plywood, tools, ink and paper. You will learn how to transfer your image to the block, how to cut it and print it. Printing will be done by hand and using a traditional printing press. You will create a small edition of prints to take home. Upon completion of this course, you will have developed sufficient skills to become a member of Northern Print and begin to use the studio independently.
