Explore photo lithography using the natural repelling properties of oil and water. Learn to work with photosensitive lithographic plates, the exposure unit, and darkroom processes to transfer hand-drawn or photographic images onto a plate.
The lithographic process utilises the repelling properties of oil and water. This course is an excellent introduction to applying the technique to hand drawn and photographic images. You will use photosensitive lithographic plates, an exposure unit and our darkroom to transfer your image onto a plate. The plate will then be inked up by hand and printed using an etching press.
"Playful and creative but underpinned by learning good techniques."
