Introduction to Linocut
Linocut is a relief printing technique that many people remember from their school days which can be made as simple or elaborate as you wish.
During this short course you will be shown how to use specialist tools to create your linocut and then how to ink and print it using a press. This course is suitable for complete beginners or those wishing to refresh their knowledge.
Stay & Play: if you want to continue with your printmaking after lunch, you can pay an additional £10 and use the facilities from 2-4pm. This is only available for course participants and is payable on the day.
Upon completion of this course you will be able to take out a studio membership if you wish and following a simple induction will be able to use the electric or Albion press to print your lino blocks.
