Tuesday 4 August - Woodcut
Woodcut is one of the key printmaking processes which is widely used all over the world. Using specialist plywood and professional tools, this short workshop will give you a great introduction to the basics of this expressive and meditative form of printmaking.
It will enable you to cut a small woodblock with the option of using your own image and print it using a printing press on specialist printmaking paper.
Open to all abilities and no experience required.
Tuesday 18 August - Drypoint
Drypoint, an intaglio process where the image is scratched directly into a printing plate. The lines are filled with ink and the plate is printed on damp, heavy weight printmaking paper using an etching press.
This short introduction will give you an insight into the technique with the opportunity to use your own image.
Please note:
• Open to all abilities and no experience required.
• Adults also need to book a place if they are coming with a child who is taking part in the workshop.
