Join us for an evening of printing on clay. Learn how to apply screenprinting and monoprinting techniques onto stoneware slabs and form them into small pots or tiles.
We will be introducing you to the technique of screenprinting onto clay. This will be using predesigned images and stencils. Aiming to make 6 tiles each. These could be used as coasters or as tiles! You will first learn to print onto paper with water-based inks before moving onto printing onto clay with underglazes. We will be using 1-2 colours per print showing you layout and resist techniques. After the class, your tiles will be taken back to Muddy Fingers HQ to be dried, bisque fired, glazed then glaze fired. They will be brought back to Northern Print after around 4 weeks for you to collect.
"I am enjoying the print journey and want to experience as many techniques as possible."
