Furoshiki wrapping is the ancient Japanese practice of binding gifts and other objects in fabric and has become popular in Western society in recent years partly through increasing environmental concerns and a desire to reduce disposable wrapping paper.

This beautiful cotton wrap measures 70cm x 70cm and is screenprinted on cotton in Japan.

The Isa Monyo Research Institute was founded by the late Kunio Isa. For this range a number of patterns and designs have been recreated such as this one from the nineteen twenties.

The design which makes the “MUSUBI” image means the relationship with the person and a person.

Use it to wrap a special gift, as a funky side table covering,  make it into a cushion or just hang it on the wall and admire it.
