A celebration of two International Print Biennales through the work and words of winning artists
Part of the Inspired by Great Exhibition of the North 2018 programme.
The exhibition will celebrate 50 years since the beginning of Bradford British International Print Biennale as well as reflecting on Northern Print's more recent International Print Biennale launched in 2009.
The exhibition will include posters and catalogues from Bradford including the inaugural poster by David Hockney and from 1979 by Patrick Caufield. There will be new works by past winners including Norman Ackroyd, Donald Wilkinson, Katherine Jones, Hormazd Narielwalla, Sunju Lee, Manami Ito and Dawn Cole. We will also be showing a series of small prints from 1982 by international artists who exhibited in Bradford Print Biennale from a commemorative set of prints made for printmaking pioneer Birgit Skiöld.
