Blueprints & Open Editions

Inspired by the distinctive rich blues of cyanotypes, an early photographic printing process renowned as the method for creating blueprint designs, this exhibition showcased original prints that all used the colour blue. As well as cyanotypes, the show included many other print processes used by over 30 studio artists.

Images included flowers and plants, landscapes and seascapes, figurative and abstract works.

Open Editions presented original prints made by studio artists all with a price of £50 or less. The exhibition included screenprints, relief prints and letterpress with something for everyone, from stunning images from nature, quirky cats and dogs as well as iconic images from the north east.
