Spacehive Campaign
In 2023, we successfully raised over £6,500 through a crowdfund campaign, allowing us to provide inclusive and inspirational printmaking courses to new, hard to reach members of our east end community, bringing people together to learn lifelong skills and grow friendships.
We delivered:
- 16 half day workshops for community groups within Newcastle East
- 8 half day drop in activities for the local community including families and older people
- An exhibition celebrating the creativity of the local community
This was a wonderfully uplifting project for everyone at Northern Print. The initial support given by so many through the crowdfunding campaign was a real boost and showed how much people valued and supported Northern Print. We were hugely grateful for all the contributions given for this project. It was a much-needed galvanising force in the challenging period post covid and helped the organisation to rebuild and reach out.
The project was part-funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
