Hilary Paynter is one of the UK’s leading wood engravers, a Past President of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, a former Chair of the Society of Wood Engravers and an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. With a career spanning over 40 years Hilary’s work covers a vast range of subjects from landscapes, animal studies, heroic structures to visual commentaries on socio-economic matters. Hilary has illustrated numerous books, her engravings have been portrayed in a number of public art commissions and her work is in the collections of the V&A, the Ashmolean Museum, the FitzWilliam Museum, the Laing Art Gallery and Hereford and Durham City Museums amongst others.
Leonie Bradley is the Editor of Printmaking Today, an elected member of the Society of Wood Engravers and as a printmaker with an interest in multi-disciplinary practice her work is held in the collections of the V&A, the Ashmolean Museum, Manchester Metropolitan University, Central Academy of Fine Art in Bejing and the University of Bath.
