20:20 Print Exchange Project

This exhibition presents all of the entries from the 2023 print exchange organised by Hot Bed Press in Salford, Manchester. Hot Bed Press runs one of the largest print exchanges in the world and each year between 500-600 artists from print workshops, like Northern Print, as well as print collectives and university print departments across the UK and overseas, exchange prints through the project.
Each artist makes 25 original prints which are then randomly sorted into boxes and sent to each participating artist across the UK and beyond. Techniques are wide-ranging and include etchings, relief prints, screenprints as well as cyanotype, photo processes and digital print.
One print from each artist is kept by Hot Bed which is included in this touring exhibition. Each studio or print department also receive some prints to sell for fundraising purposes. Northern Print will have a selection of prints available to purchase from this popular exchange at just £10 per print!
