Find out about the printmaking methods of Helen Fay and the inspiration behind her work

Helen Fay is an artist and printmaker whose drawings and etchings capture the beauty, dignity and character of animals.

Influenced by Japanese and Chinese prints and drawings and the 19th and 20th Century European artists who were influenced by them too Helen is currently focussing on how animals are intertwined with our domestic and family life.

"I want to capture moments such as a dog flopped on a chair after a long walk or watching the world whilst their owner stops for a coffee or a lazy old cat sunning itself, content in it's old age. More intimate and everyday than dramatic subjects. I hope to capture these small moments that surround us when we have animals in our life."

The money from tickets sold for this event will go towards helping keep Northern Print operating in this challenging time. We look forward to virtually seeing you.

How it works

Once you make a booking we will add you to our list of attendees and before the event we will send you a link to the private Zoom meeting which you can use to join us at 7pm on Thurs 25 March.

If you have never used Zoom before, please contact us on enquiry@northernprint.org.uk a few days before the event and we can help you to get set up on your device. You will need a computer, phone or tablet and connection to the internet to join the meeting.
